The Isle of Wight!

Hello there lovelies!

Today is again is more of a lifestyle blog post for you which I said in my live the adventure post that I would start doing more of ( you can read that post here -http://prettylittlehighstreetfinds.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/live-adventure.html?m=1 ) so that's exactly what I shall be doing!

Recently I've been loving the "staycation" trend where people are finding places in there own country to holiday to! So here's my recommendation for you because I've been going for absolute years and still love it every time! ( ps the weather is great it seems to have it's own little climate!!)

Last weekend and for the past 17 years my family and I have been holidaying to the Isle of Wight. This year we got up super early and drove down to Southampton and got on the hour long ferry to the Isle of Wight! We only stayed 4 days, but the Isle of Wight is my favourite place in England!

Where is the Isle of Wight?
For those who don't know where it is or those who are out of the UK the Isle of Wight is a tiny island at the bottom of the UK you can get to it by ferry for either Portsmouth(Wight link ferries) which only takes half an hour or Southampton ( red funnel ferries) which takes an hour!

Where to stay and what to do!
I stay in a lovely hotel called the Sandringham on the sea front in Sandown! Sandown is a lovely place to stay because the beach is beautiful and well kept, there are many little holiday/beach shops and it is defiantly not short of beach side cafés. Sandown also has a pier which is perfect for all ages with amusements, small rides, photo booths and restaurants and bars!

There are so many things to see and do on the Isle of Wight and unlike many other holiday places you are not restricted to one area or place, on the Island you can go to any town within half an hour, 45 mins top (drive) & there are hundreds of buses which are easy to navigate and go all across the island also.
Some things which might interest you are
- going to see the needles and multi coloured sands at Alum bay.

- Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill are also worth going to, both being family attraction parks! Both are a brilliant day out and if you buy a ticket for one you get a free pass into the other for a week or something like that so defo worth it!

- Driftwood Beach Cafe and Bar! This one is my absolute must visit place! It's on Sandown beach, it's very surfer chic and just all round amazing! They are a cafe/ restaurant during the day and at night they are a bar with live music and cocktails! What could be better than cocktails by the beach?!

- Finally one last thing which you should go and see when your on the Island is as many of it's beautiful beaches as you can! Sandown, Shanklin and Ryde are my top 3!
Playing with my panorama thingy on my phone( I don't do technology don't hate meeeee)

Oh and don't forget a good book! Mine this year was Bridget Jones: Mad about a boy!

I was really hoping to do a holiday look book blog post but what did I do? Complete forget to take any nice blog appropriate photos of my outfits for you:( I do go to Spain in a few weeks so I might do a look book and what I'm taking and travel essentials blog post!

Thank you for reading this super random blog post, if you've come this far why not leave me a comment on one of your favourite places to visit in the uk? I'm really enjoying the whole "staycation" trend at the moment so would love some new places to visit!

Love
