A Lush Review - Melting Marshmallow Moment

Hi guys, 

It's currently a very lazy Saturday morning and I decided that writing a blog post is what a very lazy Saturday morning entails to be perfect!

I feel like on my blog I haven't explained to you my love of all things Lush.

I ADORE Lush and all their weird and wonderful bath creations. I have a lush bag which hangs in my bathroom which I regularly refill with more and more pretty bath additives. (Ideally I want to get a cute wicker basket to put them in but that's just not practical in my bathroom) I have one rule in life... Never let the Lush bag get empty, you never know when you will be in desperate need of a great soak and without a Lush product, it just won't be a great soak. (This isn't up for discussion I'm putting my foot down and being stubborn!!) 

I have to admit though, I'm not very adventurous when it comes to Lush. I mainly stick to their middle table of goodies most of the time occasionally branching out to a bottled shower gel. (My favourite of course being the trusted Snow Fairy!!) 

But today, I want to talk to you about... *dramatic music would be appropriate*

Melting Marshmallow Moment - the bath melt from the Valentines Collection. 

I bought this thinking, meh we'll give it ago. I had a bath melt over Christmas and loved it so although this didn't have a distinctive smell and was almost pretty "boring" for lush but I bought it anyway. 

Oh how I was wrong, prejudging bath melts is bad!! This is possibly my favourite bath additive EVER!!! It is so suble with the smell, I mean it's almost snow fairy, watered down, with a tiny hint of marshmellow if you sniff hard enough. It doesn't whizz around or leave things in your bath but when you use it, it melts nicely leaving your skin feeling amazing and your bath smelling well...lush!

I think this one was £3.25 which isn't at all bad, I think that's why I love lush so much. It's all great value for money. I also think that with this one you could break it up and only use half/a quater and still have the same amazing bath just more left for another time. Although I just shoved it all in because I was feeling super reckless. 

So I think that is my first lush review done! I want to review all the lush products I buy so hopefully in the next few weeks you should get one lush review a week and if there is anything you want me to try out please leave a comment below. If you have any recommendations for me as well with lush products let me know, i would love to branch out to their other products just have absolutely no idea where to start!!!

Happy New Year from Planet Emily!?

Hi Guys,

Happy New Year!! This is coming from planet Emily where apparently it has only just turned New Year...

I know, I know I have a lot of explaining to do!! After blogmas being the biggest fail in the history of all blogmas fails I lost a lot of motivation with my blog, which is super annoying!! December into January just flew by! I kept telling myself I must make some New Years resolutions and begin a fresh for 2015 and I have kept telling myself that because in my world it feels like it should still be the begining of January however it is actually the 9th Feb!! This year is just flying already!

So this is a massive Happy New Year from me to you!! How's your year been so far? Broken any New Years resolutions yet or have you been super good and kept them all?

I decided I wanted to try being vegan for a month, I did not realise how hard it was!! I am so determined to do a whole month at some point this year but I really need to be more organised because becoming vegan requires a lot of planning. I did two weeks of strict vegan and then cheese started to sneak back into my life, although even now I still don't eat a lot of meat compared to what I used to. So that's a challenge which I want to do at some point this year, but fully so expect maybe a vegan diary blog post collection, I feel like it would quite interesting? Let me know.

I've been to Bournemouth for a long weekend! Any of you who have been reading my blog for a while will know that I wanted to visit more places in the UK last year so this year I have carried that resolution over and so far so good! I would defo recommend Bournemouth! Super lovely.

I booked a holiday with my best friend to IBIZA! This isn't till July but I am so excited!! 149 days to go! 

So there you have it! Happy New Year to you and this is the end of my first blog post of 2015! It's been a little update really hasn't it? 

I've decided that I really want to make something of my blog this year so watch this space! Any blog post ideas or reviews you would like more to do please leave a comment below!

Christmas Party Beauty Essentials!

Hi Guys!

I am so sorry for the lack of posts recently! My internet has been super slow and there was  no way I could have uploaded blog posts! Or at least composed them and then posted so I have a huge backlog of posts which was meant to be for my blogmas daily posts. Think i'm going to post this and then afterwards make an update video explaining whats going on with blogmas and what not!

Anywayyyyyyyyy lets get into the blog post!! This weekend I have my work Christmas party and then i'm meeting loads of friends from summer so all I can think about is what make up look i'm going to go for! So if you have a Christmas party coming up or a you just want to do some Christmassy make up looks then these are what I think are must haves for a Christmassy make up look!

First, is the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. I bought this when it first came out a while ago and I was so excited! It did not disappoint, I wouldn't use this on a daily basis but I love wearing this on a night out,it makes my skin feel great and just improves the general look of your going out make up. 

 

Mine is the 003 one. (Do you like the christmassy themed photos? I got overexcited sorry!)

Next, you're going to need a good foundation and one that isn't super expensive! This is my favorite one. It's the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in the shade light nude. It doesn't look cakey but it gives lots of coverage which is what we need on a big night out!

This next one is just a staple for your everyday make up look. It's the stay matte long lasting pressed powder. I always by it in the shade transparent. Its just great because it just sits nicely on top of your make up and gives it that extra incentive to stay on your face whilst your partying all night.

Ooooh onto the more christmassy make up items. I don't wear eyeshadow on  regular basi, okay basically never only when I go out. These are two examples of brilliant silver sparkly eyeshadows which are an absolute must this festive season! The first is Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr by Eyestudio. This eyeshadow is so pigmented and heavy but it looks amazing!!

     

Next is the L'oreal ColorAppeal in the shade 150 Real Silver. This one is less in your face so to speak than the color tattoo but it's just as good but lighter and more understated than the color tattoo.

I also think that if your like me and love the standard little black dress having a bold statement lip is just what you need. This lipstick is so amazing I love the colour so much, Its the MUA one in shade 1. Such a deep christmassy red. 

    

I should have probably put this one up with the eye make up but hay, let's not dwell on it, i've recently bought this and I am loving it. It's the Maybelline Mater Precise Liquid Eyeliner. I have the super fine tip one and it is amazing, It is so easy to use and gives a great line.

Finally everybody should have this in their make up bag and christmas look... GLITTER POT! This is the body shop 01 Sparkle Pot; Fairy Lights. Its great to put all over your eyeliner or just elegantly up the side of your face.

ERM OH OPPS -BLOGMAS DAY TWO

Okay... Right...Urm...

So I agreed to do blogmas, I told myself that I could do it and that I was going to be motivated and determined enough to do it. It's the 2nd of December and I've broken my plan, which I did end up making, and I very nearly didn't post tonight. 

This post isn't your traditional post I am well aware but it's a post okay?

I got a bit carried away tonight and now it's 10oclock, I'm shattered and still have no blog post for you.

Let me break it down, I work everyday till 5 and don't get home till 6. I can't use my phone at work which is so annoying, which means I can't sneakily prepares posts & then I get home have dinner. Then tonight I decided it was a good idea to go to MK Shopping Centre and spend far to much money in mainly primark! You can see why I am having a wobble and it's only day two yesssss? Please forgive me!! Tomorrow's will be great I promise!

Would you like to see my primark haul? I picked up some super christmassy items and a mix if accesories and clothing! It's really worth a look if you near one, some great items in at the moment!

BLOGMAS DAY 1 - Hello December

Hey Guys!

IT'S DECEMBER!! I am so excited for Christmas! It being December also marks the start of blogmas!! So hello to my first blogmas post! 

I don't know whether this post is classed as cheating because I would have done this anyway but I've decided it's going to count okay? Okay, brilliant! Let's get started!

Ooooooh December I love you far to much and there is many many things which I am looking forward to this December so my 10 things shouldn't be to hard to come up with! 

1) CHRISTMAS!

Fairly obvious really I mean come on, who doesn't look forward to Christmas! Everything about it makes me warm and fuzzy inside!

2) Decorations

I always love December because having decorations around the house, i find the house is so much more homely, again giving me that warm fuzzy feeling!

3) Shopping Shopping & more Shopping

I mean if you can go shopping at least twice a week for a month in the month leading up till Christmas when can you?

Whether it's a local German market or a big shopping centre I cannot wait to but presents and Christmas outfits!

4) The countdown

I adore the countdown to Christmas, I always count down to Christmas Eve because I love it a lot more than Christmas Day! Family and friends it's just perfect! 

5) Jumpers and Christmas leggings!

Ahhhh this one sums itself up but nothing better than wearing a bit jumper and my amazingly cheesy Christmas leggings!! It's my absolute favourite thing!

6) Christmas songs! 

If I had my way I'd listen to Christmas songs all year round but when it gets to December the 1st it's perfectly acceptable to listen to Christmas songs! All I want for Christmas is youuuuuuuuu

7) Church

Now believe me I'm not religious but my grandparents are and on Christmas Eve ever since I was little I have gone to church with Gran on Christmas Eve and it's in the most beautiful village and I look forward to it every year!

8) Parties!

Christmas parties and get together a with friends you haven't seen in ages are my favourite things in the whole entire world and if always happens just before Christmas!

9) Happiness

I always find I'm happiest around the festive season and I love making others happy too. Whether that's through just festive cheer or gifts it makes me happy.

10) Finally good food!

Nothing beats a good Christmas dinner and oh my goodness I think Christmas dinner is the best thing about Christmas. Then after when everyone's stuffed and you lounge around watching a movie, that's what makes me happy!

Okay so there it is blogmas day 1, hello December! I am aware of the lack of pictures, they shall be added! Just wanted to get it up!

Hi Guys!!

This is my second time writing this the first time I wrote it, I went to look for images and closed the app and forgot to save it :( tres gutted!! But hay! We move on!

You probably already know what this blog post is going to be about but incase you don't I'm going to tell ya! 

I'VE DECIDED TO TAKE PART IN BLOGMAS AND I AM SO SCARED

I decided a while ago that blogmas is something that I wanted to do but now it's becoming official because I'm telling you guys! 

Incase you don't know what blogmas is it is when you post on your blog for the whole of December, starting on the first of December! Oooooh commitment!

I mean I know what your thinking, I'm rubbish at sticking to plans and posting posts on a regular basis but I am so determined to do this!!

I haven't planned out my blogmas like I know some bloggers are, I mean I know some products I want to review and some get the looks I want to do but it's not all planned! I'm going to do some beauty posts, some fashion posts on outfits and specific things I'm loving this winter and of course some lifestyle posts!! Might even attempt a day in the life if I do anything christmassy and exciting that I think you guys would like to see!

Keep your eyes open for that and let me know any suggestions on keeping motivated for blogmas or post suggestions or products that you want me to review!

BLOGMAS DAY 3 - November Favourites

Hi guys!

November is over already how crazy! Let advent begin! (This coming month is my favourite!!!) So let's talk about all the things I lovvvvvvved about November!

1) Christmas Costa

First things first...ooooooh my god, how yummy are their new ones?! I mean orange hot chocolate! I've made it my mission to get one every Friday morning before work and every Saturday morning!

 

2) Barry M's Autumn nail varnish!!

Now this one I would have never in a million years thought that I would be putting in a favourites video because having used there gelly nail varnishes before, I wasn't impressed! Well opps I take that back, the mustard one is amazing!!! The grey one I bought is also soooo nice! They're really beautiful autumnal colours which makes me extremely happy! I also bought a deep berry purple which I am loving as well but that one isn't gelly! I'm going to do a full blog post on these in the coming weeks so I won't ramble on anymore!

3) BOOTS!

Oh my goodness I seemed to have mentioned boots in my past like 8 posts but my oh me and I loving my boots, I bought them from Tesco for £20 thinking they'll do until I can get some more... THEY'RE AMAZING, I don't want anymore. These can be paired with jeans or a dress or a cute skater skirt! Perfect for the Autumn/ Winter months!  They are the most perfect little black ankle boots with a zip on the inside and a gold buckle on on the outside with a lace up front! They're a must have this Autumn/Winter!

4) TV?

Has to be I'm a Celeb surely!!! Ooooh I just love it, makes me very very happy! Jake is my favourite so here is a lovely picture of the man himself because why not!!! Phwoooooar!!

5) Lipgloss

I went on the hunt for a berry toned lip gloss to use over my lipsticks or just on it's own and I've found a great one! I never used to like lipgloss but this one has changed my mind and I love it! Blog post with more details will follow! It's the maybelline coloursensational shine gloss in the shade 360 stellar berry!
