Accidental Lush Christmas Haul!

Hi Guys!

Okay so today, Saturday 3rd October, I went to Lush in my hometown to pick up a few bits and bobs, some of my must have Lush Products.

I walked in and Oh My God!!! I was so excited to see that they have their Christmas and Halloween range out already!!

I had some birthday money to spend so I decided why not stock myself up for the winter!

I definitely did not mean to spend this much but I got carried away! I have listed what I have bought and how much they cost. Some I have had before so can give you a mini review although most I haven't so any you want a review on let me know!

Sooooo let's begin...

The first items I picked up was of course - Snow Fairy Shower Gel 250g and I also bought the 100g The comforter Shower Cream which I have not had before but the Comforter is my favourite bath crumble so it made sense for me to get the shower gel too.

Snow Fairy 250g was £7.95 and The Comforter 100g was £4.95

The next thing that I picked up was the Butter Bear Bath Bomb which I had last year and it melts in your bath and makes your skin really smooth. This was £1.95.

Next in was Star Dust which I haven't used before and I am really excited to! This was £2.95

Next up is the Candy Cane Mountain Bubble bar which smells a lot like The comforter and Snow Fairy which smell similar. This was £2.95

This is the Magic of Christmas Bubble wand, which is similar to the Magic Wand Bubble Bar but this one smells all Christmassy! (Shock!) This was £5.95

This one isn't a Christmas one but it is one that i have been after for a while... Pink Flamingo Bubble Bar. I really enjoy bubble bars and they are such good value for money. This one cost £5.95.

This is my absolute favourite and as soon as it gets near Christmas i have to have it in my bathroom. The Magic Wand Bubble Bar. It smells like snow fairy and the comforter again but is my favourite.. a bubble bar! This was priced at £5;25

Next up is a Halloween one... Sparkly Pumpkin. This one is definitely going to leave you covered in glitter after your bath!! This was priced at £3.65.

The last couple of things that I bought were facemasks, Remember in my last lush review I said I wanted to branch out more in lush?? Well this is me branching out. I bought both the new ones, Rosy Cheeks which is a pale pink colour and Don't Look At Me which is bright blue. They were £6.95 each.

So that is the end of my Lush Haul, I would really recommend heading into you're local lush and stocking up for this Winter as the stores get so busy in the run up to Christmas.
I am heading to the Lush on Oxford Street next week so hopefully I wont blow all my wages... wish me luck!

If you want any of these reviewing let me know in the comments, also what's your fav lush product?

Have a great day

Thoughts for Thursdays - Courage

Hi Guys,

Welcome to the first Thoughts for Thursdays. A spin of the wonderful SprinkleofGlitter's Motivational Mondays.

I have decided that the first post is based around Courage.

Courage is something I have never really thought about before, I would never have said that I am not courageous but until recently I have a realised that I was not courageous at all. My worrying used to get in the way all of the time. I look at my life now and realise, yes I am courageous and not because I go cliff diving or bungee jumping or live a crazy exciting life. I am courageous because I am brave enough to do little things in life that I have always done with someone holding my hand.

Courage isn't something that's generic to everyone my reason for being courageous can be completely different to yours and your friend being courageous is completely different to both of ours. You have to do things that you never imagined yourself doing. Taking a chance, thinking to yourself what is the absolute worst thing that could happen to me if I do the thing that scares me the most? If you do it, imagine the feeling you will get once you've succeeded at doing it?

Here are some things that I have been doing recently that have made me feel courageous;

  • I am so much more independent, taking myself to hairdressers alone and finding a new salon to get my eyebrows done and going on my own without someone there to hold my hand.
  • Driving!!!! Oh my god did i think a year ago that I would have bought my own car and be driving myself to work, to my Boyfriends and back, I have even driven to LONDON on my own!!! That is major for me!
  • Getting on a train alone to see my boyfriend and best friend when they are at uni
There is so many things which have made me realise that until recently i have never been courageous and now I am really testing myself and believing in myself. I think that's what it boils down to, having the courage to believe in YOU believe in YOUR ABILITIES! The majority of mine is down to independence, being independent is clearing more challenging for me than what i thought.

Find what scares you and push yourself this weekend.

Leave me a comment on what makes you courageous and if and when you do anything why don't you leave a comment and tell me!

I would absolutely love to know

Thanks for reading have a great weekend xxx

Introducing Drifting Rose Petal

Hi Guys!

As you may have already noticed I have changed my blog name...ooooooh controversial I know.

I felt like when I created PrettyLittleHighStreetFinds I didn't have much direction with what I wanted to do with my blog and how I wanted to attack this crazy world of blogging!

I feel like now, although I'm still sooooooo bad at posting regularly and maintaining my blog that I know what direction I would ideally like this blog to go in. I have recently bought a new laptop which by the way I am absolutely in love with! (It's an ASUS one and it looks like a mac book but a hell of a lot cheaper!! That's as technical as I get with it all i'm afraid)

I am still working on how best to tackle my Post Education series which I am so desperate to get published before September.

I think although I adore beauty and fashion and this blog post is still centred around my love for beauty blogging however I do think that my blog is going to become more of a lifestyle blog, I am better at writing about lifestyle things and I have more inspiration to create blogs based around life.

I also want to start a series called Thoughts for Thursdays. Which is my take on the lovely SprinkleOfGlitters Motivational Mondays.

So please stay tuned, i know this is again another update blog post but I wanted to update you all.

Thanks for reading, see you soon

Update...what's coming up?

Hi guys,

Opps yet again my blog has taken a MASSIVE backseat in my crazy life! I mean I haven't actually stopped in god knows how long!! But anyway, I just want to update you on what's to come on my blog in the next few months!

I really want to do a series on post 16 education and the post 18 education and the choices you have to face and I want to try and help you with those decisions the best I can.

I have absolutely loads of blog posts I have started writing and never finished that I want to get completed and post.

When I go away I'm hoping to do Los of blog post writing and hopefully some blog posts on what I'm taking with me.

I'd also like to do a day in the life blog post.

And work desk essentials would be a fun one! I don't think there's enough cool posts about us working gals!

That's all I can think of at the moment but ideally I would love to post all of these and get into a good routine with it all but you never know!!

Thanks for reading:)

Using my And

Hi Guys,

You should see the backlog of posts I have half written!! They will get to you at some point!

Earlier this week I tweeted about The Use your And campaign supported by Venus. Not only do they make the best razors apparently they support great campaigns such as this one. This was bought to my attention by many bloggers which I follow and I decided to really think about my 'ands' because I am more than what I seem, and so are you! This campaign is all about realising "one dimensional labels limit your potential"

Your not meant to be one thing and one thing only, it's your life and you can be as many things as you wish, it's your life and you need to embrace everything which makes you you!

So here's mine!

I am a Daughter and a Sister.
I am a Fraud Anaylst and a party girl.
I am hardworking and enjoy lazy days.
I'm an aspiring baker and blogger.
I like fashion and I like being individual.
I am a girlfriend and a best friend.
I am an explorer and a girly girl

I could probably think of a lot more things which I am but I'm going to leave it there. This week think about your 'ands' and let me know in the comments yours!! I love reading other peoples!

Here's the video which drives this campaign and it really warms my heart, it's only a minute long so please take the time to watch it.

Thanks for reading, have a great day!

The Perfect Staycation!

Hi Guys!

This is a bit of a different blog post and I am super excited to see what you think.

A staycation? You may be asking, it's a word that was used ALOT in 2014! A staycation is a holiday within your own country. (Like a vacation but your not going abroad...just incase your still confused ) There was a lot of talk last year about exploring your own county and saving the environment by having a Staycation rather than jumping on an emissions fueled plane.

I'm not against going abroad at all, in fact I'm quite fond of it however I am trying to be more adventurous and explore the UK more this year too.

The last weekend of January my boyfriend and I packed our bags and headed for a long weekend by the coast. More specifically, a weekend in the beautiful Bournemouth.

The multi coloured beach huts all along the seafront.

We got the train down on the Friday morning, I did take the day off work but hey, it's holiday and I'm entitled to so many days so why not! The train from London Waterloo cost me £30ish return which wasn't too bad at all.

We stayed in a Travelodge right by the seafront which was lovely! I love a great hotel experience as I really have a thing for hotels but I have a massive soft spot for Premier Inn's and Travelodges! They're affordable, great quality and really great for a weekend/long weekend away. We stayed in a large double room and it was lovely!! The bed was super comfy, the bathroom was nicely decorated and clean and the room provided us with everything that we could have possibly needed... Tea and Towels!!

Whether you work full time or you are in Education book yourself and friends/family/boyfriend or girlfriend or even go on your own!! Just find one weekend this year to go for a long weekend by the coast! Sometimes I think it is exactly what you need, breaks everything up and chills us out!

One of my summer goals this year is to visit as many places in the UK as I can, it's actually a year goal rather than just a summer goal and I think.

Why don't you try it too? You can even explore somewhere just for the day! When I was younger if the day was meant to be a hot one mum and dad would take us to the Isle of Wight for a day!

There is so much to see in The UK and I really haven't seen that much of it in the grand scheme of things and I would love to change that!

I'm going to leave links to the things I needed when booking my Bournemouth staycation and also some of the things we did and I would recommend!

I am going to try and do a blog post about everywhere I visit in the UK this year, a. Review on the place and what I did!

Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed this blog post. Any places you think I would enjoy please leave me a comment!

Thanks,

Emily x

A Lush Review - Unicorn Horn

Hi Guys!

Following on from my last blog post about Lush's Melting Marshmellow Moment Bath Melt (if you haven't already checked it out then please do!) I decided to tell you all about Unicorn Horn today, and I cannot explain how excited I was to use this and how excited I was to blog about it. It is just soooooooooooooo pretty!!

Unicorn Horn is again from Lush's Valentines collection, I haven't been in since so some of the products unfortunately are a bit backdated that I will be telling you about.

I really hope that now you understand my excitement! It is the most beautiful bath thing I have ever ever bought!

Unicorn horn is actually a bubble bar, which means you pull chunks off or just run it under the hot tap and it creates bubbles, so you can get plenty of baths out of it!

The colours in it are incredible and the colours run all the way through it. This bubble bar is great for if you need something to brighten up your bathroom and if your having a rubbish day it is sure to relax you and brighten up your life too!

It leaves your skin feeling great and super soft which is lovely, and it turns your bath a beautiful pinky colour leaving behind trails of sparkles.

The smell is not super strong again which I like but it smell is an acquired scent I think. It's a mix of Lavender and something very very sweet but somehow it works and I can't get enough of it.

Although this was only part of our Valentines Collection here in the UK it was launched in Japan about a year ago do hopefully it comes back next year or just for a different occasion which would be ideal.

Overall rating for this lush product is a definate 5/5. I cannot explain to you how much I love this beautiful bubble bar!

Thanks for reading.

Any lush recommendations for me? I'd love to hear them!!

Love
