BLOGMAS DAY 3 - November Favourites

Hi guys!

November is over already how crazy! Let advent begin! (This coming month is my favourite!!!) So let's talk about all the things I lovvvvvvved about November!

1) Christmas Costa
First things first...ooooooh my god, how yummy are their new ones?! I mean orange hot chocolate! I've made it my mission to get one every Friday morning before work and every Saturday morning!

2) Barry M's Autumn nail varnish!!
Now this one I would have never in a million years thought that I would be putting in a favourites video because having used there gelly nail varnishes before, I wasn't impressed! Well opps I take that back, the mustard one is amazing!!! The grey one I bought is also soooo nice! They're really beautiful autumnal colours which makes me extremely happy! I also bought a deep berry purple which I am loving as well but that one isn't gelly! I'm going to do a full blog post on these in the coming weeks so I won't ramble on anymore!

Chai, mustard and berry Cosmo!

3) BOOTS!
Oh my goodness I seemed to have mentioned boots in my past like 8 posts but my oh me and I loving my boots, I bought them from Tesco for £20 thinking they'll do until I can get some more... THEY'RE AMAZING, I don't want anymore. These can be paired with jeans or a dress or a cute skater skirt! Perfect for the Autumn/ Winter months!  They are the most perfect little black ankle boots with a zip on the inside and a gold buckle on on the outside with a lace up front! They're a must have this Autumn/Winter!

4) TV?
Has to be I'm a Celeb surely!!! Ooooh I just love it, makes me very very happy! Jake is my favourite so here is a lovely picture of the man himself because why not!!! Phwoooooar!!

5) Lipgloss
I went on the hunt for a berry toned lip gloss to use over my lipsticks or just on it's own and I've found a great one! I never used to like lipgloss but this one has changed my mind and I love it! Blog post with more details will follow! It's the maybelline coloursensational shine gloss in the shade 360 stellar berry!

Okay so that's it for my November favourites! Hope you've all had a lovely November and enjoyed this favourites, have a great evening!

Hello November

Hi guys!

Ooooh I'm getting better, it's only the 5th and I'm getting up my Hello November post... I'm not that unorganised yay!

Hello November

As with every other month I like to do a post for you all telling you what I'm looking forward to or what I want to achieve this month!

Soooo let's get started...

1) Boots!
I really want to buy a nice pair of boots that I can wear all the time, I did recently buy a big pair of Dc Martens but I can't really wear them to work can I?!

2) Lipstick
I am on the hunt for a couple of really nice autumnal lipsticks, you guys know the colours that I mean! If you have any suggestions please leave a comment!

3) PAYDAY
Back in my September favourites I mentioned that I was starting my very first full time job? Maybe, however I haven't actually been paid yet and this Friday is payday and I cannot wait!

4) Christmas Shopping
Okay so I know it may be a bit early but I adore Christmas shopping and can't wait to do a bit of late night Christmas shopping!

5) The Dark
I'm not a wuss when it comes to the dark, certainly not! Infact I love it! I love walking home in the dark with the leaves all rustling! Although it's strange going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark!

6) Bonfire Night
I'm not going to pretend like I'm some big celebrator of Bonfire night, I used to be when my grandparents lived at their old house but the past couple of years not so much. However I love watching fireworks from around and I'm always so excited to play with sparklers!

7) New Foundations
Okay so this is beauty related and I really want to buy a high end foundation this month. I've heard great things about Nars sheer glow and Dior Star? What are your thoughts let me know!

8) Autumn/Winter wardrobe
I'm slowly trying to add more brown, grey, mustard and dark red into my wardrobe which means one thing! It's nearly winter! This month I am determined to finalise my wardrobe for the coming season by adding a few more knitwears, a big coat and some nice cosy trousers! Not forgetting a new onesie!

9) Lush
I can't remember if I mentioned this in my pervious hello October post however I'm determined to have lots of baths with lots of lovely lush products! I also want to be a bit more adventurous in lush and try some face masks//toners//shampoos ect!

10) FINALLY! Happiness
wow November is a tricky month to write about, I want to finish on a soppy lifestyle point...sorry!! I want to make sure that this month I am happy, that I am the happiest I can be and I'm doing everything I can to make myself happy! Whether it's going somewhere or buying something it even just watching my favourite film, I'm going to try and be happy the whole month! What makes you happy? I want you all to try this to!

So that's my hello month post done for yet another month! This year has just flown by! I found November so hard to write about so I apologise for the quality of this post!

Let me know in the comment your blog and I'll check it out, I need new blogs to read!

Also if there is anything you want to see me blog about let me know!

Thanks for reading!

Hello October

Opps yet again my hello month post is not at the start of the month, sorry for the delay! But it's here and I shall get better at this, promise!

So Hello October, how are you?

1) Start of Autumn
Although I said September started to feel like Autumn it's not officially Autumn until October and you can defiantly tell, it's so bitter now when your outside! But I love it because it means we are closer to Christmas!

2) Coats!
Okay so this seems silly but this month I am looking forward to buying and wearing coats! I have a super lovely one which is a dark cream with leather sleeves, a proper autumn coat but I want to buy more of a winter one and pair it with a cute scarf and that is me toastie for winter!

3) Candles!
I always feel a bit silly burning candles in summer because the nights are generally light till late and it's hot! But as soon as it gets to autumn winter my room constantly has candles burning! Only when I'm around though don't worry! I'm not a candle jar person I buy lots of tea lights because I have nice tea light holders! My faves to burn at the moment are salted caramel - yankee! & some from tesco which are Damson and Pomegranate!

4) Conkers
Okay so recently I was at my grandparents house and noticed Conkers all over the floor below there conker tree! I completely forgot about Conkers and it's made me want to go for long walks in the park conkering! (In my coat and scarf ooooo)

5) New Beginnings
Okay so this isn't seasonal but this month on the 20th I start my new full time job which is so exciting I cannot wait to get back into a routine and start earning some proper money!

6) Ed Sheeran
This month I have an Ed Sheeran concert on the 20th which I am so excited for because I love him and I get to spend this evening with my best friend!

7) LUSH!
Okay so for those of you who don't know I'm a lush a holic! I love anything to do with lush and this month they start putting out there Christmas stock which I love! ( fairy wand being my fave) so this is something I am looking forward to!

8) Giving blood
So every few months I go to my local community centre and give blood and this month I am giving blood. I've included this because I love the feeling you get after giving blood, the proud satisfied happy feeling of knowing your helping someone who needs it!

9) Mums birthday!
This month it's mums birthday and that makes me really happy because we get to spoil her and treat her to things she wouldn't normally get to have all year round!

10) Finally Halloween!
Okay so I have to admit I'm not this biggest Halloween lover, I'm a complete scaredy cat when it comes to horror so Halloween isn't really my favourite but I do love carving a pumpkin and putting a tea light in it! It also comes with loads of baking inspiration which I will hopefully try and post on here for you all!

So there's my hopes and things I'm looking forward to in October! Hope you enjoyed this post! Please let me know what you enjoy about October or what you have to look forward to!

Thanks for reading!

September Favourites!

Hi guys!

So this is my first ever favourites post! YAY! I'm throwing a party and you're all invited! ( okay so I lied but I wish I could )

I'm going to make this a regular post just like the 'hello different months' which I said about in my hello September blog post!

Toooo the favourites...

Skincare
Okay so the first is something most of you will cry about but I'm very sorry... it's the NO.7 beautiful skin face wipes. I absolutely adore them they make your skin feel lovely and get rid of any rubbish which is left on your face and make up! They're quite expensive at £7 but boots are always doing NO.7 skincare vouchers which gets your £5 off which is handy! So keep an eye out! ( I know I'm meant to hate make up wipes but I can't hate these ones sorry)

Beauty

This months beauty favourites is a mascara, I don't normally wear mascara on an everyday basis but this one is so good and makes such a noticeable differents that I have started to use it more often! It's the Maybelline New York the colossal go extreme volum'. Absolutely amazing would recommend to anyone. I have it in very black and it's amazing!

Clothing

I AM IN LOOOOOVE WITH H&M! So I've always been in and out of H&M but I find it a bit of a hit and miss shop meaning I don't rely on it as my go to shop but recently I have been! It's been amazing! I've picked up quite a few things recently ( if you'd like me to show you in a haul post let me know ) but my two favourite items are my black and white striped skater dress. I can't remember how much it was think around £20 but I bought it recently so if you look online it will be there:) (looked online and can't find it:( although it's still in my local store so defo pop into your local and have a look!)

This gorgeous mustard cardigan! More than I would normally pay for a cardigan but it's so comfortable and beautiful for £7.99!

Book

I've already done a blog post about it so some of you shall already know what I'm going to say, it's 'You're the one that I want' by Giovanna Fletcher! Fab book check out my review!
http://www.prettylittlehighstreetfinds.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/you-one-that-i-want.html?m=1

Film

Deciding on a film was a hard one for me because I've been really slow recently at watching films! I have a stack for me waiting to watch and I have a list of things i want to see at the cinema!

But because it's started to get ALOT colder and nights in are becoming a lot more frequent I've decided Frozen is my film favourite of the month! Watching it on a cold night is perfect!

TV programmes

If you follow me on twitter then you will probably be aware that I am completely obbsessed at the moment with The Vampire Diaries!! Oh my goodness why didn't I watch it back in 2009! It's amazing defo check it out if you haven't already! Team Stefan or Team Damon?

Oooooh they're just so beautiful gah!

Soooo that was my first favourites post! Also I was thinking about doing blogmas? Posting a blog post everyday on December some just what I've done that day and other more general posts, any thoughts?

Keep an eye out for my super exciting blackberry recipe post and a Halloween inspired post too, I also have a few reviews this month too!

Thank you for reading, have a great day! Leave a comment and let me know so of your favourites!

You're the one that I want...

Hi guys!!

No unfortunately this is not a Grease themed blog post! Although I really want to do one now I've mentioned it! Hmmm.

This post is all about this amazing book which I finished this morning called You're the one that I want, by Giovanna Fletcher!
If you haven't heard of her already she only has two books out, Billy and Me, the first one she wrote and then this one so we can forgive you! But defiantly check her out!

I read Billy and Me at the begining of the year and loved it! ( if you would like a review of that let me know) So when she published this one I went straight to Waterstones and picked a copy up!
This was my holiday book for this year so it automatically holds a special place in my heart, as with any book you take on holiday! It just reminds you of how happy you were!

Opps, it may have been dropped in the pool a couple of times...

If your looking for an easy romantic book to read then this is perfect for you, it's easy reading although I must warn you very addictive, once you pick it up you won't want to put it down! The story line is brilliant and keeps you guessing the whole way through even up to the last 2 pages where you are asking yourself will she won't she!

I'm actually super sad that this book is now over because I've become really attached to Maddy, Robert and Ben the three main characters! I really would recommend this book to anyone it's such a great read, a feel good book!

What audience is the book aimed at?
I would recommend this book to anyone over the age of 14! It's a great book which is relatable to anybody no matter what the age!
Rating out of 5?
I would give this book 4/5 if not 4.5/5 I don't know why I don't want to give it 5 because I can't find any faults with it and really enjoyed it I just didn't feel it's the best book I've ever read. Although give it a couple of months and i would defo read if again!

Thank you for reading my review make sure to pop into your local waterstones and pick one up if you haven't already! If you have already read Billy and Me because that is just as fab!
If you'd like more book reviews please let me know and if you have any book recommendations for me again let me know!

Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day.

Hello September

Hola!
(Guess who's been in Spain...)

So I am very aware that I am late to the party but I have decided I'm going to do the 'hello different month' blog posts and set myselfs little targets or hopes for each month or maybe just document what is happening in the month!

Ooooh don't you just love Autumn/ Winter?? I love it!& September marks the beginning of all of that! So here's 10 things I'm looking forward to in September 2014!

1) Blackberrying!
Every year for the past 5 or 6 years my grandad has taken me blackberrying across the fields in the little village where he and my granny live! I look forward to it every year! If your planning on blackberrying early to middle September is the best time to do so!

2) My Birthday!
On the 28th it's my 18th Birthday! I look forward to my birthday every year but I'm looking forward to it even more this year because I'm going to be 18 and that means (technically) I'm an adult...

3) Driving!
Some of you maybe aware that on the 11th of August I passed my driving test... Finally! However I had such a busy August( which I shall make future blog posts on) I didn't drive really at all and now in September I'm looking forward to being able to drive!

4) New Beginings
This September a lot of different things are happening in Emily world and lots of different opportunities keep appearing for me and in September I'm going to have to make some very tricky decisions which are worrying me to death trying to decide but I know whichever I pick I shall be happier!

5) Goodbyes
This one isn't a 'look forward to' but it's happening this September so I may as well put it on this post! I have a few very hard goodbyes to say this September. One of my best friends is moving across the globe to Austraila( I'm super jealous) but that means a very sad goodbye for a while. My other best friend is moving away for uni and off to Newcastle which is about 5 hours away from me! It's quite overwhelming knowing both best friends are moving so far away but they're both going for such amazing opportunities so the goodbyes are celebrations too!

6) Autumn Walks!
As much as summer is great, going for walks in the heat is not as fun as wrapping up a bit more or putting a coat on and walking through your local park dragging your feet through the Russelly leaves! I look forward to Autumn walks!

7) Baking!
I've decided that I want to start baking more again in September! I absolutely love baking and used to bake all the time but exam stress and school stress took hold and I haven't for ages so in September I hope that I get my baking buzz back! ( if there's anything you'd like me to bake and blog about leave a comment)

8) Weekend TV!
Yay! Towards Christmas we always get weekend TV back! With X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing ( which is my fave shhhh) and Sunday night bbc/itv drama's all hitting our tv screens it would be rude not to spend my weekend nights snuggled up watching TV! ( wild teen I know)

9) Motivation
After the joys of having summer to frolic around and do nothing for almost 2 months I need my routine back and lots and lots of motivation and I hope in September I start to notice the difference!

10) Happiness
Over the past year I have not been unhappy but my happiness has not been top of my priority lists and has sometimes been pushed aside and left for a whole so I've decided September I shall dedicate more time for my happiness! Even if it's just a facemask and a book on a Sunday night!

Wow! That was a lot harder than I thought it would be but I really have enjoyed almost structuring my month! What are you doing this month? Or what are you aiming for? Leave me a comment!

Hope you all have a lovely September!

The Isle of Wight!

Hello there lovelies!

Today is again is more of a lifestyle blog post for you which I said in my live the adventure post that I would start doing more of ( you can read that post here -http://prettylittlehighstreetfinds.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/live-adventure.html?m=1 ) so that's exactly what I shall be doing!

Recently I've been loving the "staycation" trend where people are finding places in there own country to holiday to! So here's my recommendation for you because I've been going for absolute years and still love it every time! ( ps the weather is great it seems to have it's own little climate!!)

Last weekend and for the past 17 years my family and I have been holidaying to the Isle of Wight. This year we got up super early and drove down to Southampton and got on the hour long ferry to the Isle of Wight! We only stayed 4 days, but the Isle of Wight is my favourite place in England!

Where is the Isle of Wight?
For those who don't know where it is or those who are out of the UK the Isle of Wight is a tiny island at the bottom of the UK you can get to it by ferry for either Portsmouth(Wight link ferries) which only takes half an hour or Southampton ( red funnel ferries) which takes an hour!

Where to stay and what to do!
I stay in a lovely hotel called the Sandringham on the sea front in Sandown! Sandown is a lovely place to stay because the beach is beautiful and well kept, there are many little holiday/beach shops and it is defiantly not short of beach side cafés. Sandown also has a pier which is perfect for all ages with amusements, small rides, photo booths and restaurants and bars!

There are so many things to see and do on the Isle of Wight and unlike many other holiday places you are not restricted to one area or place, on the Island you can go to any town within half an hour, 45 mins top (drive) & there are hundreds of buses which are easy to navigate and go all across the island also.
Some things which might interest you are
- going to see the needles and multi coloured sands at Alum bay.

- Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill are also worth going to, both being family attraction parks! Both are a brilliant day out and if you buy a ticket for one you get a free pass into the other for a week or something like that so defo worth it!

- Driftwood Beach Cafe and Bar! This one is my absolute must visit place! It's on Sandown beach, it's very surfer chic and just all round amazing! They are a cafe/ restaurant during the day and at night they are a bar with live music and cocktails! What could be better than cocktails by the beach?!

- Finally one last thing which you should go and see when your on the Island is as many of it's beautiful beaches as you can! Sandown, Shanklin and Ryde are my top 3!
Playing with my panorama thingy on my phone( I don't do technology don't hate meeeee)

Oh and don't forget a good book! Mine this year was Bridget Jones: Mad about a boy!

I was really hoping to do a holiday look book blog post but what did I do? Complete forget to take any nice blog appropriate photos of my outfits for you:( I do go to Spain in a few weeks so I might do a look book and what I'm taking and travel essentials blog post!

Thank you for reading this super random blog post, if you've come this far why not leave me a comment on one of your favourite places to visit in the uk? I'm really enjoying the whole "staycation" trend at the moment so would love some new places to visit!

Love
